Getting Started with Bolt21

Welcome to Bolt21! This guide will help you set up your self-custodial Lightning wallet in minutes.

Download the App

1. Download Bolt21 from Google Play (iOS coming soon)
2. Open the app and tap “Create New Wallet”

Create Your Wallet

1. Write down your 12-word recovery phrase - This is the ONLY way to recover your wallet. Store it safely offline.
2. Verify your phrase - Confirm you’ve written it correctly by selecting the words in order.
3. Set up biometric authentication - Enable Face ID or Touch ID for quick, secure access.

Receive Your First Payment

1. Tap the Receive button on the home screen
2. Choose BOLT12 Offer for reusable payment requests
3. Share your offer with anyone who wants to pay you

For Ocean Miners

1. Copy your BOLT12 offer from the Receive screen
2. Go to your Ocean pool dashboard
3. Paste the offer as your payout address
4. Receive daily payouts directly to your wallet!
